History

On March 1st, 1961, Herb Harris founded Heights Glass & Mirror Company. The fledgling glass shop made its headquarters at 1616 W. Northwest Highway in Arlington Heights, IL. Named to be recognized as the local shop in town, Herb strived to earn customer loyalty and affiliation with this burgeoning community. From tabletops to auto glass and mirrored walls to reglazing, Herb would sell these quality products to his retail consumers.

By pursuing the lofty ideal of providing nothing less than superior service, Herb's shop grew and soon established an excellent reputation within his community. Then, in the early 1970’s, homebuilders came into the community to begin their new housing developments. Hearing about Heights Glass & Mirror Company’s excellent products and services, they turned to Herb for the mirrors and shower doors in their new communities. The rest is history!

On March 1st, 2006, Heights Glass & Mirror Company marked its 40th anniversary. What was once the little glass shop that Herb Harris opened to the world is now the recognized leader of mirror and shower door installations to the homebuilding industry.
